Family Friendly Walk – Monday 4th May
10.00am Bearsted Green
This is a friendly walk for all the
family to join in to show support for
STOPKIG and also to highlight the
strength of opposition to the KIG
proposal. Please tell your friends about
the walk and ask them to join us.
It will also be an opportunity to take
publicity photos, so please bear with us
while we stop at various locations along
the route and ask you to pose for the
camera. Wear a white t-shirt (or even
better, a STOPKIG one), as it will stand
out for the photos. (T-shirts available
to order via the website, or to buy on
the day). If it rains - wear it over
your raincoat!!
The distance for the proposed walk is
about 1 mile, and it will end back at
Bearsted Green. If you feel unable to
walk with us we would appreciate your
support on the Green at 10am for a photo
shoot and to see the walkers ‘on their
way’
The walk will leave the Green at 10.30,
and proceed along The Street in an
easterly direction, before following
bridleways across the affected land. The
walk will follow paved roads and unpaved
bridleways, so wear appropriate
footwear, especially if it is wet. Some
parts of the route may be unsuitable for
buggies and wheelchairs.
As we are demonstrating our love of the
countryside that we wish to protect from
development, please take care to not
trespass on, or cause any damage to land
adjacent to the footpaths or bridleways
that we use, and take any litter home
with you.
If you need to arrive by car, please
ensure that you park legally and with
consideration to local residents.
The organisers of the walk accept no
responsibility for the care or safety of
those taking part. |
