You may have already received a letter regarding the Planning Inquiry and the need to send in information by 6th April. Many people have contacted us for advice on what to do. We have a Steering Group meeting on Tuesday 17th about the Inquiry, and this issue will be discussed then.

Thank you to everyone who took the trouble to write and object to the latest information received by MBC. We understand that 3500 new objection letters were received against this proposal.

You may be aware that AXA have now attempted to bypass MBC planning and have submitted an appeal to the Planning Inspectorate for non – determination by MBC. This is a clear attempt to ride roughshod over local democracy, and a blatant disregard for the Planning system in this country.

We are working hard to prepare our objections to present to the Planning Inspectorate, and in this respect, we still want to hear from you if you feel you can offer expertise in any area that can be used to argue the case against KIG. THIS IS VERY URGENT NOW THAT THE APPEAL CLOCK IS TICKING. If you or anyone you know has experience or qualifications in Planning, Rail Freight, Landscape Architecture, Environmental Issues, and in fact anything that may help fight this proposal, WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU NOW. If you are able to speak at the Planning Inquiry, or just feel you can help prepare our case, please contact us NOW. Our deadline for sending information to the Planning Inspectorate is 6th April.

It is also essential that we present a united force against the KIG development. To show the strength of support we have, we are updating our supporter registration base, and want every member of your household to register with us. Some 10,000 people live in Bearsted, yet we do not have this number registered as supporters!!! We are delivering new registration forms in the immediate area, but if you live further afield, or have not yet received a form yet, please re-complete the registration form on this page for every adult in your household.
