Dear Sir/Madam

Ref: MA/07/2092

I have seen the supplementary information provided by AXA who want to build the Kent International Gateway (KIG) development in Bearsted and I still object to this planning proposal.

First of all, I agree with the Highways Agency consultants, Parsons Brinkerhoff who still have serious concerns about inadequacies and omissions in the latest technical data supporting the application (specifically, in Technical Note 6, dated 11/12/08).

Further to this, I would like to point out that the new information:-
* fails to address the impact of the commercial competition to KIG ie Howbury Park near M25 in Bexley which has already been granted planning permission and competes for the same business KIG wants
* fails to address the effect on Growth Point Status
* fails to address the proximity to environmentally sensitive areas which it will adversely affect
* fails to adequately assess alternative sites - all are summarily dismissed and in many cases for reasons that equally, and in some cases, more aptly, apply to Bearsted
* fails to supply a coherent and adequate public transport system to support KIG in a sustainable manner
* uses new artwork and photographs that feature neither gantries, trains nor lorries - the key business of KIG.

Finally I would like to express my support for StopKIG and their detailed response to the new information.

I hope my strong objections will be taken into account during the planning process.

Yours faithfully,
